چکیده
Abstract. This dataset contains input parameters for 12 703 locations around the world to parameterize a stochastic weather generator called CLIGEN. The are essentially monthly statistics relating daily precipitation, temperature, and solar radiation. is separated into three sub-datasets differentiated by having determined from 30-, 20-, 10-year record lengths. Input related precipitation were calculated primarily NOAA GHCN-Daily network. remaining various sources including global meteorological land-surface models that informed remote sensing other methods. new CLIGEN includes inputs in US, which compared selection of stations an existing US representing 2648 locations. validation showed reasonable agreement between two datasets, with majority showing less than 20 % discrepancy relative dataset. For minimum lengths used calculations, only small increase going towards shorter lengths, such average all was greater 5 has potential improve spatial coverage analysis variety applications reduce effort needed preparing climate inputs. available at National Agriculture Library Data Commons website https://data.nal.usda.gov/dataset/international-climate-benchmarks-and-input-parameters-stochastic-weather-generator-cligen (last access: November 2020) https://doi.org/10.15482/USDA.ADC/1518706 (Fullhart et al., 2020a).

A daily weather generator for use in climate change studies
This paper describes the development of a weather generator for use in climate impact assessments of agricultural and water system management. The generator produces internally consistent series of meteorological variables including: rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind, sunshine, as well as derivation of potential evapotranspiration. The system produces series at a daily time resolution, usin...
متن کاملA simple stochastic weather generator for ecological modeling
Stochastic weather generators are useful tools for exploring the relationship between organisms and their environment. This paper describes a simple weather generator that can be used in ecological modeling projects. We provide a detailed description of methodology, and links to full Cþþ source code (http://weathergen.sourceforge.net) required to implement or modify the generator. We argue that...
متن کاملpassivity in waiting for godot and endgame: a psychoanalytic reading
this study intends to investigate samuel beckett’s waiting for godot and endgame under the lacanian psychoanalysis. it begins by explaining the most important concepts of lacanian psychoanalysis. the beckettian characters are studied regarding their state of unconscious, and not the state of consciousness as is common in most beckett studies. according to lacan, language plays the sole role in ...
Evaluation of a Stochastic Weather Generator in Different Climates
Stochastic weather generators are used in different studies which often require long series of daily weather data for risk assessment. They can produce synthetic daily time series of any length. Any generator should be tested to ensure that the synthetic data is proper for the purposes for which it is to be used. The main objective of this paper is to test a stochastic weather generator, LARS-W...
متن کاملComparative Study of Different Stochastic Weather Generators for Long-Term Climate Data Simulation
Climate is one of the single most important factors affecting watershed ecosystems and water resources. The effect of climate variability and change has been studied extensively in some places; in many places, however, assessments are hampered by limited availability of long-term continuous climate data. Weather generators provide a means of synthesizing long-term climate data that can then be ...
